Bearman, a Brit joined Ferrari in 2021
Oliver Bearman hails from Chelmsford, a town located in Essex. In 2021, the young driver joined the prestigious Ferrari Driver Academy.
He showcased his talent by clinching both the 2021 Italian and ADAC (German) F4 titles. In the following year, Bearman embarked on his rookie F3 campaign and secured an impressive third place finish, trailing behind the highly regarded duo of Victor Martins and Zane Maloney.
The Briton’s debut season in F2 in 2023 was nothing short of remarkable, as he triumphed in four races and secured a commendable sixth place in the championship standings.
Bearman’s journey continued to progress, as he made his first appearance in an F1 weekend during the first practice session of the 2023 Mexico City GP, and later participated in the season-ending Abu Dhabi GP. Currently, Bearman competes alongside the talented Mercedes junior driver, Kimi Antonelli, in F2 for the Prema team.
Sainz who has undergone a successful surgery for appendicitis will not be able to drive for Ferrari at The Saudi Grand Prix, Bearman, Ferrari’s reserve driver will be replacing him for the entirety for The Saudi Grand Prix.
