As a result, Australia, which was last set to hold the opening race in 2020 before the pandemic forced its cancellation, will now host the race from March 14-16. This weekend will also mark Lewis Hamilton’s debut with Ferrari.

The Formula 1 2025 schedule calendar retains the same 24 circuits as the 2024 schedule, the longest in the sport’s history, with changes made to the order for the 75th anniversary season of the world championship.

For the past four years, Bahrain has hosted the opening race. However, due to the timing of Ramadan next year, the Sakhir race, along with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, has been rescheduled to April.

F1 president Stefano Domenicali expressed, “2025 will be a significant year as we commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the FIA Formula One World Championship. It is the legacy and experience that enables us to present such a robust calendar.”

Once again, the championship will visit 24 remarkable venues worldwide, providing top-notch racing, hospitality, and entertainment for millions of fans globally.

In a departure from the 2024 running order, China will follow Australia as the second race, with Japan maintaining its spring spot from this year.

The last and 24th race of the season will be held at Yas Marina (Abu Dhabi) on 7th of December 2025.
