Jos Verstappen says Horner will destroy Red Bull Racing team.
On 28th of February, the Red Bull Racing Team cleared Christian Horner, the team Principal, of inappropriate behavior. Nevertheless, this ruling left many Formula 1 fans disheartened, as they expressed their concerns regarding the working environment at Red Bull. Both fans and the media called for greater transparency regarding the issue.
Christian’s honor may have felt a sense of relief after the investigation was announced. However, it seems that his worries are far from over. On February 29th, during his first day at the paddock, a collection of files claiming to be evidence of Christian’s inappropriate behavior was leaked online. The files allegedly contained inappropriate messages that Christian sent to the female employees. These files were sent to several F1 personnel, including Muhammad ben Sulayem (FIA President) and other Team principals, as well as various media outlets. Jos Verstappen too received these files.
As the season initiated, The Bahrain Grand Prix 2024 proved to be a remarkable event for the Red Bull Racing team, as both drivers secured podium finishing first and second place. The entire team was filled with joy and satisfaction, except for Christian, who displayed a hint of concern on his face. He had not yet addressed the leaks that had surfaced.
Upon being asked by the media, Horner responded, “I won’t comment on anonymous speculation, but to reiterate, I have always denied the allegations.” He further added, “I respected the integrity of the independent investigation and fully cooperated with it every step of the way. It was a thorough and fair investigation conducted by an independent specialist barrister and it has concluded, dismissing the complaint made. I remain fully focused on the start of the season.”
Jos Verstappen, on the other hand, holds a contrasting viewpoint on this issue. During an interview with “The Daily Mail” and the “De Telegraaf”, Josh cautioned that Red Bull would face consequences if the Christian Honor is not promptly eliminated form his position. “The Daily Mail” stated of Verstappen saying “There is tension here while he remains in position. The team is in danger of being torn apart. It can’t go on the way it is. It will explode. He is playing the victim when he is the one causing the problems,”. The conflicting statements from team members suggest a division within the Red Bull team. Speculation arises that Jos is attempting to oust Christian Horner from his role. Jos has refuted this claim by stating, “It doesn’t add up. Why would I take such action when Max is performing excellently under his leadership?”
